CHRISTMAS will never be the same!

They say Christmas is the time to be merry. A time to share gifts for a bountiful year. It is a time where love, family and togetherness reign. It is time when most people should be happy and celebrate.

But you see, not in this part of my country. After the flash floods that happened in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan, Philippines, where nearly a thousand people perished and went missing, I can't help but think how those people who survive will celebrate their Christmas. Maybe not, or maybe never again. The rampage happened in the middle of night killing families, men, women and children, young and old in their deep slumber only to wake up facing their worst nightmare--- DEATH. Death, like a lightning bolt, has claimed the lives of those innocent, as if trying to meet a quota. In a matter of seconds, DEATH took away God's creation. Oh heavens, I am crying while writing this blog. I just realized tragedies like this happen almost every end of the year.  Dear Lord protect us!

Let's offer our prayers to those who survived this catastrophic event. I pray that they may be able to move on thankful for their second life. And pray to those who perished, May God Bless their souls and may they rest in Peace!
